What is different about your service from others like it on the market?
Unlike “photo books” services that provide easy ways to plug photos into pre-existing templates for covers and pages, RealBooks™ is specifically designed for scrappers who want total artistic freedom. Not only is your cover (front and back) completely customized using your designs, but each page file is, too. We are available to help you through the process, either on the phone or by email, and stand by our books with a life-time warranty for manufacturing defects.
Also, unlike most book services which offer about 20 pages, we offer 40 pages in our base price, with a low per page price after 40 pages. We know most scrappers want at least 40 pages and we can even do books up to 200 pages!
What book sizes do you offer?
The formats we offer are: 8 x 8, 8.5 x 11 and 12 x12 (Actual cover size is 11.7 inches by 11.7 inches, based on 12 x 12-inch files).
If my photos were taken by a professional photographer and are copyrighted, do I need to purchase them before you can print my book for me?
Absolutely. You must purchase the rights or get a written release from your photographer. See RealBooks™ “Terms of Use”.
How durable is my RealBook Scrapbooksm?
We use a unique double-binding process, archival quality, acid-free papers and laminate protected covers to ensure
long-lasting quality for generations to come.
How long will it take to get my RealBook Scrapbooksm back once I have sent in my files?
Once we receive your file, we will review it and let you know that it is ready to be produced, or if there are any issues with your file. Outside of the year end holiday period, if your file is ready to print, we will ship your book back to you within 7 -10 business days (ship date by FedEx Ground). From mid-November through December 30th, it may take a bit longer and we will post the “cut-off dates” on our site.
Can I order more than one copy of my book?
Absolutely. Most of our clients find that their books make great gifts and order multiple copies. To make that even easier for you, we have created a Volume Pricing Schedule.
What if I want to order more copies after I have already ordered and received my RealBook Scrapbooksm?
Easy as can be. We keep your file for up to one year, so just reference your prior order on the order sheet and email that to us.
What if I notice a problem with my book?
If the problem is related to our production process, simply send the book back to us and we will replace it at no charge. If the error was in your original file, we do our best to catch it before printing, but we do not review your book for editing purposes or to make sure that each and every file is at the correct dpi. If a reprint is required due to your original file, we are not responsible for the cost of the new book.
I am a traditional scrapper and would like to see my hard copies printed and bound into a RealBook Scrapbooksm. Can you scan my pages for me?
We may offer this service in the future if there is a demand for it. Please send us an email and we will let you know if we can arrange that for you.
What program should I use to design my digital pages?
Many programs work—that’s the beauty of being able to do a RealBook Scrapbooksm. See our Digital Tools page for suggestions. Make sure that the software program you choose is able to save your files as 300 dpi PDF images.
Can groups such as non-profits, schools or companies use the RealBooks™ service for group memory books?
We love helping groups capture their special memories! Please refer to our volume pricing section or contact us by phone or email with any questions. |
